Sunday morning and I am sitting on the 40th Floor of Shatha Tower at the IGY office in Dubai View from Shatha Tower. I am so excited to see firsthand all of our wonderful projects here in the Arabian Gulf. We’ve got a busy few days scheduled, and I will try to keep you posted on everything that I experience while I am here.
We arrived on Friday evening at 11:30 pm after a long day of flight (we left Fort Lauderdale on Thursday at 5pm), flying Jet Blue to JFK and then Emirates Air from New York to Dubai (via Hamburg). Flights were great and the service was outstanding on Emirates Air. On Saturday, I was able to take a quick souvenir break and head over to the Mall of the Emirates (yes it is the one with the indoor ski slope) and then it was off to the Dubai Boat Show 2008. It was the final day for the show and IGY had a tremendous presence, partnering with Nakheel on our booth to highlight all of our marina projects in the region IGY-Nakheel Booth/Booth at DBS. From all the input that I received, and what I saw, the show was a tremendous success. I even had a royal sighting… by chance I was in the right place at the right time for the arrival to the Boat Show of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed al-Maktoum .
More later…
