Bert Fowles

The Vice President of Marketing & Sales for IGY Marinas, Bert Fowles came to IGY in 2007 as a marketing professional with advertising agency, media and international management experience. With over 15 years of hospitality industry expertise, Bert is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans leading to revenue growth for twelve marinas across 5 different countries; he also led a 25-member IGY international project team in the development of a web based slip auction engine, which generated over $1 million in revenue within 9 days of its launch date. Prior to joining IGY, Fowles was Operations Manager for Prime Sports Ltd., one of the Caribbean’s leading casino gaming companies and has also held key marketing management positions in the hospitality and resort industry, including a number of years with SuperClubs Resorts working on brands such as Hedonism, Grand Lido and Breezes.

Early in his career, he worked in publishing at Creative Communications Inc., directly managing a client roster that included Air Jamaica, Sandals Resorts and Jamaica Tourist Board.  His advertising background was spent at FCB, where his role centered on account management and international client development, managing accounts including Colgate Palmolive, Western Union and Nabisco.

Fowles’ focus at IGY has been to help grow the company through management agreements and serves in an advisory role to IGY’s 3rd party clients in respect to marketing; he was highly instrumental in securing five additions to the IGY network in the past year, as well as solidifying several alliances with key industry players. Fowles received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, where he majored in Business Administration.  Bert is an avid boater and fisherman and proud supporter of Fishing for Freedom – an organization providing fishing retreats for US soldiers.
