IGY Simpson Bay Marina Welcomes the North American Rally to the Caribbean (NARC)
The 11 Annual North American Rally to the Caribbean (NARC) departs October 31st 2010 from Newport RI, weather permitting.
All seaworthy boats are welcome to begin gathering the last week in October at the Newport Yachting Center in Newport, RI with weather routing presented by Susan Gennett of “Real Weather”.
In Bermuda, the NARC will be hosted by the St. Georges Dinghy & Sports Club. New to the Rally this year, IGY Marinas is sponsoring the rally finish with free dockage and the 1st annual “Start of the Season Party” at Simpson Bay Marina in St. Maarten.
The NARC Rally traditionally attracts both professionally crewed yachts and private boat owners as the rally offers big discounts and socials along the way. Last year with the upsurge in first-time cruisers, the rally will be offering a one-day seminar on Friday October 29th for skippers and crew. OPO also offers a free crew network service.
