IGY supports local St. Maarten businesses reach the yachting market
IGY Marinas is very conscious of the local St. Maarten economy and supports small business throughout the year.  On an annual basis, Yacht Club Isle de Sol – St. Maarten supports many local non-profits with the “Inspire Giving through You” initiative including children’s homes, animal shelters, and the St. Maarten sailing school.  In the aftermath of the 2017 storms, the marina at Yacht Club Isle de Sol – St. Maarten supported local tradesmen in replacing necessary tools so they could maintain their business while also employing others out of work as a direct result of the storms.

Over the 2021 summer, the marina will look to engage the yacht services companies on the island to plan for the arrivals in the upcoming season.  These unofficial partnerships will bring economic growth to the island and as the largest marina company in the Caribbean, the investment is not just in Yacht Club Isle de Sol – St. Maarten, but also in the St. Maarten people.  Opportunities to facilitate relationships between the yachts and service companies will be a focused effort to bolster the St. Maarten economy.  An array of St. Maarten events, including a welcome soiree, crew events, cocktail gatherings, and other social hours will create essential connections for local businesses and service providers to generate business for St. Maarten.

As 2020 gets left further and further in the distance, the highly desired future of 2021-2022 leaves a much brighter outlook, Yacht Club Isle de Sol shares the optimism felt throughout St. Maarten.
