MBG Enthusiasts,

It’s high season for whale and dolphin watching. Three species of dolphins leap and frolic here year-round while resident whales are joined by migrating species between July and October. Spend a half-day or longer with an MBG-curated whale and dolphin experience.

Before or after your teeming Golfo Dulce immersion, be sure to stop by GADÚ Café at the MBG Marina Village for Costa Rican coffee which is sourced locally and sustainably.

You’ll also note we’ve changed our news digest up a bit: we’re going to bi-weekly circulation with more real-time experiences, videos, images, and news coverage. A lot happens at Marina Bahia Golfito. We’re bringing you shorter text with more live shots more often.

It’s High Season for Whale & Dolphin Watching

The vibrant waters of Golfo Dulce shimmer and dance with a diverse array of amazing marine life including three species of dolphins—spinner, bottlenose, and spotted—who reside here year-round. They’re joined by migrating whales to the Golfo’s warm waters between July and October to give birth and rest.

Marina Bahia Golfito’s Whale & Dolphin Watching Experience

On this half-day trip, Marina Bahia Golfito provides you with everything you need to enjoy whales, dolphins and a myriad of other wildlife sightings on the Golfo Dulce. At 8:00 in the morning, you’ll board a shade covered boat and leave the shore far behind, heading for the deepest waters of the Golfo. Be sure to bring your camera, sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and water. You’ll be skippered by the most knowledgeable guides, and snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. Back at MBG at noon, you’ll have the whole afternoon to reflect on the sights and sounds of southern Costa Rica.

MBG Village
Cakes & Coffees with a Mission

GADÚ Café is a specialty coffee shop in the Marina Bahia Golfito Village where you’ll find exquisite pastries, delicious coffee, and top-notch service.

Like many Costa Rican businesses, GADÚ also has a mission. It is to create a community of specialty coffee enthusiasts and to add value to a culturally significant production chain for Costa Rica. GADÚ coffees are locally sourced, specifically from the Sabalito district in the Puntarenas province of Costa Rica.

Managed by the Garbanzo Duarte Family, the name GADÚ comes from being a family business. Even more, “We believe that family isn’t just those who share our DNA but also the friends we choose and share many moments of our lives with,” they say. “GADÚ invites you to savor life by taking a moment to enjoy a cup of coffee, a cake and to become part of our family!”
