Aviation International News Readers Award St. Thomas Team Top Honor in 2024 FBO Survey

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (April 4, 2024) – The April issue of Aviation International News (AIN), released Monday, names Standard Aviation St. Thomas the top fixed-base operator (FBO) in the Caribbean. This esteemed honor is awarded by voters in the publication’s annual FBO survey. With 5.0 being a perfect score across five categories, Standard Aviation received an average rating of 4.6. Professional Pilot magazine readers also voted Standard Aviation number one FBO in the Caribbean in the 2022 PRASE Survey.

“We are elated to see our luxury facility and top-tier customer service recognized in a global spotlight once again,” said Standard Aviation, LLC Member, Shaun Miller. “To receive another industry magazine’s highest honor for the Caribbean region, is a testament to the work our outstanding team has done for U.S. Virgin Islands tourism. A huge thank you to our Standard Aviation team members who continue to excel daily.”

This year’s FBO survey was the 43rd annual issued by AIN with ballots counting cumulatively since 2015. Voters submitted ratings in five categories: line service; passenger amenities; pilot amenities; facilities; and customer service representatives (CSRs). Since opening the world-class facility at Cyril E. King Airport in July 2020, this is the first year Standard Aviation has been named to the prestigious list.

Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director, Carlton Dowe, who supervises the territory’s airports commented, “On behalf of the Port Authority, we applaud the Standard Aviation team for receiving this honor. Every day they go above and beyond to achieve the five-star service level private jet clientele expect.”

In addition to AIN’s regional honor, Standard Aviation’s 4.6 average rating also puts the St. Thomas facility in the top 20 percent of FBOs in the Americas. It is the singular Caribbean FBO to land a position on this sought after list.
