Helping crew unwind is integral to the IGY experience, and this year’s IGY crew events calendar is packed with opportunities for fun, laughter, thrills, and relaxation.
The programme features local and international events in the Mediterranean, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean, plus an exciting collection of exclusive parties for IGY Trident members.
Europe – culture, sailing competitions, and spookiness
As the cruising season peaks in Europe, there’s plenty of fun to be had in the Mediterranean. The colourful port of Sète in the South of France is a great place for crew to enjoy. The city continues its summer-long programme of cultural and music events with a poetry festival (July 18-26) and open-air cinema events (August 15-19). Catch up with fellow crew at the Thursday happy hour in the Alexandre Bar at IGY Sète Marina.
In Italy, IGY Trident members are invited to an exclusive Trident Superyacht Event at IGY Portisco Marina on August 2. The marina is at the entrance to the world-famous Costa Smeralda in Sardinia, providing easy access to all the action in this party-loving superyacht playground.
Thrill-seekers and sailing enthusiasts are in for a real treat at Saint-Tropez on September 12/13 and Cádiz on October 4/5, when the Rolex SailGP Championship rolls into town. This spectacular event features nation versus nation, close to shore, high-speed, high-tech racing. IGY Trident member crew are invited to join the elite Adrenaline Yachts Program, with premier racecourse views and exclusive benefits.
In Saint-Tropez, IGY Trident captains in the region can enjoy an exclusive captain’s briefing and tech base tour, followed by a cocktail reception, while in Cádiz, Trident yachts enjoy preferred access to the yachts program and a 10% discount.
There’s more fun to be had in the South of France on October 31, with exclusive IGY Trident crew Halloween parties at IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes and IGY Sète Marina.
The U.S. and Mexico – big fish, top tennis, and prized art
Sports-loving crew in the vicinity of IGY North Cove Marina in Manhattan, NYC, from August 24 to September 7, are in a prime position to enjoy the U.S. Open Tennis Championships. Get some practice in – join the Brookfield Place Open right next to the marina and play tennis dockside.
There’s more sporting action on Mexico’s Pacific coast in October. Crew based at IGY Cabo San Lucas have a fabulous opportunity to enjoy two of the world’s great fishing tournaments: Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore, on October 13-18, and Bisbee’s Black and Blue, on October 20-25.
In Florida, calendar highlights include:
- Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) on October 29 to November 2
- IGY Trident Halloween Party at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami on October 31
- Art Basel festival – the premier art show in the Americas – at Miami Beach on December 5-7
Up the coast at IGY Savannah Harbor Marina, Georgia, crew in the region are invited to the Christmas Boat Parade on December 13.
The Caribbean – sportfishing, pool parties, and shows
The party vibe ramps up on the islands from July through December. Don’t miss the Emancipation Day celebrations and the Chocolate Show at IGY Rodney Bay Marina on August 1.
Over on St. Maarten, the Loterie Farm Jungle Pool Party takes place on July 26, and if you miss that, there’s another Loterie pool party on August 30. St. Maarten also hosts the Elev8 Hill Top Party on August 2, October 4, and November 1.
Sportfishing enthusiasts are invited to join us for the St Lucia Billfish Tournament at Rodney Bay, from October 30 to November 4, and the Wahoo Windup on November 2, hosted by Virgin Islands Game Fishing Club at Red Hook, St. Thomas.
