Entering The Bahamas

Vaccinated Travelers
All fully vaccinated travelers wishing to enter The Bahamas will now be required to obtain a COVID-19 test (Rapid Antigen Test or PCR), with a negative result, within five days of arrival in The Bahamas.

Unvaccinated Travelers
There are no changes to the testing requirements for unvaccinated persons wishing to enter The Bahamas. All persons, who are 12 years and older and who are unvaccinated, will still be required to obtain a PCR test taken within five days of arrival in The Bahamas.

​Once in possession of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test and proof of full vaccination, all travelers will then be required to apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa at travel.gov.bs (click on the International Tab) where the required test must be uploaded.

Traveling within The Bahamas

Vaccinated Travelers​
All fully vaccinated travelers wishing to travel within The Bahamas, from New Providence and Grand Bahama will now only be required to produce a negative result of a rapid antigen test of the type provided by the Ministry of Health.

For persons travelling inter-island from any other islands of The Bahamas, only a negative result of an antigen test of the type approved by the Ministry of Health is required.

Unvaccinated Travelers​
Unvaccinated travelers are required to produce a negative result of the RT-PCR test at the point of embarkation to the operator of the airline or vessel on which they are travelling.

Curfew times have also been relaxed to 11:59 pm to 5:00 am on New Providence and Paradise Island, Grand Bahama, Exuma mainland, Abaco mainland, Bimini and North & South Eleuthera, including Harbour Island.

​The requirement for secondary testing for inter-island travelers is now removed.
