3 Days Itinerary

DAY 1

Grab some breakfast on the way to the Southbank Riverwalk that is a beautiful walk along the St. John’s River ending at the Friendship Fountain. After taking some amazing pictures you can go over to the River City Brewing Company and try some local brew while enjoying lunch on the river. IN the afternoon spend the day at Cummer Museum of Arts and Gardens enjoying 2.5 acres of gardens and over 5,000 objects. On the way back to the marina stop at Bold City Brewery and sample more local brew or at Just Brew it for supplies to create your own masterpiece then finish off the evening at Mateo’s for some pizza next door.

DAY 2

Head over to the World Golf Hall of Fame and explore the museum learning all about the history of golf and its greatest players. Enjoy some lunch at one of the restaurants located onsite then take some time to play a few holes on golf courses designed by hall of fame members. With the many choices for dining you can enjoy a lovely dinner before heading back to the marina.

DAY 3

Get an early start and head over to Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach where you can enjoy paddle boarding or kayaking with plenty of stores and restaurants all around for after you work up an appetite like Poe’s Tavern which is an Edgar Allen Poe themed dining establishment.

Grab a local fishing charter to explore the amazing waters that Florida has to offer. Choose from fishing the Intracoastal Waterway, Offshore, or the St. John’s River. Then spend the afternoon lounging at the pool back at Marina at Ortega Landing

DAY 5

Get a bite to eat for breakfast on your way to the Jacksonville Zoo where you can spend the day getting to know the wild animals. The zoo offers train rides, dining, and gardens to explore throughout the day. Make a stop at Intuition Ale Works on your way back to the marina to take a tour of the craft brewing process and enjoys some food.

FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH | ART WALK DOWNTOWN

A must-do-and-see for arts enthusiasts. On the first Wednesday of each month, take a free, self-guided tour through downtown Jacksonville’s galleries, where local artists display their works. Enjoy local food trucks, music, and an outdoor arts marketplace for finding the perfect Jacksonville souvenir.

THIRD THURSDAY OF THE MONTH | NORTH BEACH ARTWALK

North Beaches Artwalk is a free event held the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 9pm. Featuring many local visual artist and live performers. Artwalk is held at the Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach Town Centers.

EVERY SATURDAY, MARCH – DECEMBER 17 | RIVERSIDE ARTS MARKET

Every Saturday through December 17, from 10am to 4pm, more than 100 juried artists showcase the city’s creative side, from handmade pottery to silk-screened shirts and unique accessories. RAM’s expansive Farmer’s Market features local produce, as well as artisan breads and other tasty treats. The Market’s three stages present exceptional live entertainment, from great regional bands to barbershop quartets.

FEBRUARY
THE 26.2 WITH DONNA

The only marathon in the world that donates 100 percent of its profits to Breast Cancer Research. This annual marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

MARCH
GATE RIVER RUN

This is the largest 15K marathon in the United States started in 1978. With thousands of dollars in prizes, this in one of the largest annual events in Jacksonville.

APRIL
  • Springing the Blues – The Belk’s Springing the Blues festival is one of the most highly anticipated music events in Florida, now in its 27th year. Held at the Seawalk Pavillion, today’s festival features three days of performances by national, regional, and local blues artists and attracts more than 150,000 fans to the shores of Jacksonville Beach
  • Welcome to Rockville – Rock fans won’t want to miss this two-day festival played out on four different stages. Event grounds are at Metropolitan Park in Downtown Jacksonville.

  • Jacksonville Jazz Festival For more than 30 years this event has featured world-class jazz performances, art vendors, music competitions and more. Each year it grows bigger with more events and stages throughout the festival weekend.

    P1 Superstock is the next generation of motorsport. Racing that is affordable, equitable, and exciting for racers and fans. AquaX, the endurance jet-ski championship, is an exciting coastal challenge that offers a completely new experience for watercraft enthusiasts in the heart of the St, Johns River in downtown Jacksonville.

    THE GREATER JACKSONVILLE KINGFISH TOURNAMENT AND FESTIVAL

    Now in its 36th year, this fishing extravaganza is the largest kingfish tournament in the Southeast. In addition to the general tournament, the event also includes a Junior Angler Tournament, a food festival, and live entertainment. Held at Jim King Park and Boat Ramp on Jacksonville’s Northside.

    JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS SEASON

    Kicks Off for the Jacksonville’s home team is always the thick of the NFL action. Everbank Field is a party zone. Visit the pools and cabanas in the North End Zone, The Bud Light Party Zone, in the South End Zone or experience the newly renovated club seats. With the biggest scoreboards in the world, any seat is the best seat in the house at Everbank Field.

    Jacksonville Light Boat Parade Dozens of boats decorated with festive holiday lights parade down the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville the Saturday after Thanksgiving making for a great family holiday affair!

    We have been to Atlantic Beach for the Naval Air Station’s air show.
