RBS Six Nations Rugby, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh
The Six Nations Championship is contested once each season by the international sides of France, England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. Each team plays the other five once per season with home advantage in alternate seasons, giving a total of 15 matches per Championship. Ordinarily, the Championship takes place in February and concludes by the end of March, with rest weekends in weeks three and five.

The Gemini Boat Race 2023 – 26th March
The Boat Race is an annual contest between rowing crews from Oxford and Cambridge Universities that takes place close to Easter each year on the River Thames in south west London between Putney and Mortlake. The first Men’s Boat Race took place in 1829 in Henley on Thames following a challenge between old school friends. Since the second Race in 1836 the contest has taken place in London. The first Women’s Boat Race took place in 1927 and moved to the Championship Course in 2015.

The Virgin Money London Marathon is one of the world’s largest fundraising events and one of the six top marathons that make up the World Marathon Majors.

King Charles III Coronation – 6th May
The Coronation of His Majesty The King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6th May. The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort. The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.
There will be a bank holiday in the UK on Monday 8th.
Women’s FA Cup Final, Wembley Stadium – 14th May 2023
The Vitality Womens FA Cup Final 2023 (wembleystadium.com) Who will lift the trophy come the end of the season? The FA Cup is the oldest national football competition in the world that was first played in the 1871-1872 season.
Wimbledon Tennis Championships – 6th-16th July
One of the most famous tennis tournaments in the world, the Wimbledon Championships have been played since the 1870s. The championships start at the end of June, and last approximately two weeks, or until all events are complete. St Katharine Docks will be screening the famous tennis tournament on its events pontoon.

Lord Mayor’s Show
This London event dates back to the early 13th century, when a desperate King John allowed the City of London to appoint its own Mayor. The King insisted that each newly-elected Mayor should come to Westminster and swear loyalty to the Crown, and the Mayor of London has been making that journey for over 800 years.
