3 Days Itinerary

Day 1

Start the day with a breakfast at the Café Del Porto in the heart of the marina and enjoys its relaxing sea views. Set sail midmorning to Spiaggia di Marinella and relax on the beach with lunch provided by the crew picnic style or dine at the beach bar. After a fun and relaxing day on the beach, return to the marina and have dinner at Matt’s Steak restaurant, which offers the best steak in Sardinia, just leave room for the delicious Tiramisu.

Day 2

Set off from the marina and head north to visit the Archipelago of La Maddalena, is just 15 miles away from Portisco. Anchor up in Cala Corsara to the south of Spargi island and swim up to the beach where you will find crystal clear waters and golden sands. On return to Portisco, enjoy happy hour at the GUSTO Cocktail Bar, a vibrant and a very special place to enjoy drinks amongst friends. Dine at Aquamarina, a very popular restaurant specializing in local produce located in the center of the marina.

Day 3

Head early to the beach of “Il Principe” and enjoy the green, pink, turquoise and blue heart of the Costa Smeralda, just 15 km by car from Portisco. Return to the marina in time for an aperitivo before setting off to Porto Cervo, conveniently located 20 mins drive from Portisco. Visit the beautiful boutiques with every world renown brand on show and the Waterfront Village adjacent to the world class Porto Cervo Marina (an IGY destination). Have dinner in the highly renown Al Pescatore Restaurant and enjoy the enchanting view from the terrace.

Day 4

Start early with a round of golf at the Pevero Golf Club, an 18-hole stunning Robert Trent Jones designed course before enjoying a sumptuous lunch at the renowned golf club restaurant. Following lunch, head off to the popular local market at San Pantaleo located 5 mins drive from the marina. For dinner head off to the Hotel Cala di Volpe and dine with ‘Matsuhisa at Cala di Volpe’ restaurant, featuring Japanese cuisine Nobu style in a completely renewed location. Finish off at the iconic Bar Pontile, overlooking the charming pier and the yachts berthed in the most glamorous bay of the Mediterranean.

Day 5

Set off from the marina sailing the short distance to the island of Tavolara and soak up firsthand the incredible views of the 565m high island. For lunch, go to the southern edge of the island and visit the renowned restaurant La Corona, serving delicious seafood dishes. Following lunch, take a slow and relaxing sail the short distance across the Bay of Golfo Aranci to Portisco marina where the staff will welcome you back. For dinner, head off to the restaurant I Frati Rossi before visiting one of the many famous nightclubs in the area.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

NATIONAL PARK OF LA MADDALENA ARCHIPELAGO

The National Park is a collection of islands, islets and rocks dramatically sculpted by the wind and it is a paradise for snorkeling and diving. If you are lucky you can experience dolphins swimming close to your boat in this area.

TAVOLARA PUNTA CODA CAVALLO

The Protected Marine Area of Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo protects fifteen thousand hectares of sea and about forty kilometers of coastal territory, considered among the most beautiful in Sardinia.

SAN PANTALEO

The village of San Pantaleo is just beyond Portisco, it is one of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy with its narrow streets, colourful windows and a central square where people meet in the evening for an aperitif. The traditional market and the workshops of craftsmen and artists complete the picture. It is surrounded by rocky hills of pink granite and wild nature, ideal for hiking and trekking enthusiasts.

RENA BIANCA BEACH

The beach is located just over a kilometre from Portisco. It is a long sandy beach of fine white sand protected on the sides by cliffs and surrounded by lush Mediterranean scrub. It is equipped with sunbed rentals and restaurants and is one of the most renowned and beautiful shores in northern Sardinia.

STELLA MARIS

Built in the 1960s by Michele Busiri Vici, this white washed church with its rounded exterior features no interior corners. Explore the amazing architecture and artwork that makes this church so fascinating.

THE NURAGHE LA PRISGIONA

Tour the perimeter of the ruins of about 100 huts with the main nuraghe in the center. Follow along across the street to the tomb of giants of Coddu Vecchiu.

MONTE ALTURA FORTRESS

Built in the 19th century to defend La Maddalena. It is known as one of the most beautiful forts in Europe.

SA TESTA SACRED WELL

This unique landmark’s design purpose has yet to be determined by archaeologists.

ANNUAL EVENTS

EASTER

Many towns and villages all over the island commemorate Easter with celebrations, decorations, and costumes.

MAY

San Simplicio
The patron saint of Olbia is Saint Simplicio. There are celebrations and events occur over the entire month with the 15th having a procession go through town in costumes.

JUNE

Le Cozze di Olbia
For the entire month restaurants all showcase their talents in preparing mussels from appetizers to desserts.

JULY

Fish Festival – Saint Teresa Gallura
The Fish Fair in Santa Teresa di Gallura marks the rebellion of 1802 and is also a celebration of the sea’s offerings, with an abundance of fish species and fried fish delicacies and dishes for sampling.

Lovely small harbour and a sun trap on a sunny day. Worth walking all the way to the far side and climbing onto the wall and walking along on the rocks on the sea side.
