Regulations and Procedures

The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has introduced seven regulations, reflecting its commitment to fostering economic development, ensuring environmental sustainability, and advancing coastal tourism within the country. These guidelines specifically govern the operations of yachts and cruise ships, outlining procedures for the issuance of licenses and permits required for navigational activities. Saudi authorities are in the process of registering Sindalah Island as an international entry-exit point for yachts, crew, and yachting guests. Direct entry at Sindalah Marina will be activated shortly.

Arrival by Air

Option 1: Neom Bay International Airport, Neom (NUM)

For crew and guests coming in by air, Neom Bay Airport (NUM) is only a few kilometers from Sindalah Island and an easy transfer. Currently, NUM has direct international flights to-from Dubai and London and many new international destinations to be added soon.

Option 2: Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Tabuk (TUU)

Located ~230 kilometers from Sindalah Island, Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Tabuk (TUU) has direct international flights to-from Cairo, Dubai, Sharjah, and Doha.

Yacht Agencies and Services

Extensive set of services which will be offered through various globally recognized yacht agencies, include but not limited to:

  • Facilitating the entry and exit clearance of vessels, involving arranging permissions for both arrival and departure, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and coordinating the provision of port services.
  • Organizing the vessel’s docking, as well as overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo and/or passengers, in accordance with local customs and conditions.
  • Initiating orders on behalf of the yacht to secure services, provisions, goods, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Catering to special events both on board and onshore.
  • Managing the transportation of provisions, goods, supplies, equipment, and spare parts within the region.
  • Accepting goods, supplies, equipment, and spare parts on behalf of the vessel and, if necessary, coordinating customs clearance and collecting any imported items within Saudi Arabia.
  • Arrangements for receiving bunkers and all related services.
  • Engaging buses, taxis, drivers, and vehicles for local transportation of crew or passengers.
  • Arranging and coordinating yacht repairs.
  • Arranging flights, transfers, and hotel reservations.
  • Coordinating the disposal of garbage and waste, which may involve utilizing barges or smaller vessels for collection while anchored at marina, mooring buoys or in a suitable zone.
  • Consistently and promptly updating the principal on port and working conditions that could impact the vessel’s itinerary or operations.
  • Issuing manifests, delivery orders, certificates, and any other necessary documents on behalf of the yacht.
  • Coordinating the necessary formalities for crew or guest immigration, documentation, or departure in accordance with the requirements of the relevant authorities.
  • Handling requests for security passes or other security authorizations necessary for individuals entering secured facilities.
  • All other activities relating to the day to day running of the yacht and crew assistance.

Bunker Barge Based Fueling Services

Bunker barge based fueling service is tailored to meet the specific needs of yachts, ensuring a seamless and efficient refueling process. The bunker barge will be stationed in vicinity of Sindalah island at Mooring Buoys 3,4,5. The fueling operations are managed by expert yacht bunkering professionals. The slot for fueling needs to be booked in advance using this link (work in progress), post which, the fueling slot will be confirmed by the bunkering operator. At the time of your fueling slot, the bunkering operator will escort the yacht to the location of the bunker barge.
