Darren Carey
Director of Operations Mexico

Darren Carey is the Director of Marina Operations Mexico for IGY. In this role he oversees the operations of Marina Cabo San Lucas and its associated businesses.

Prior to joining IGY worked as a Marina Manager within Europe’s largest marina operating company. His maritime experience was further enhanced by time spent instructing for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute. He also held the position of coxswain on one of the institutes fleet of all-weather rescue craft, and over the course of 12 years was involved in numerous incidents where the rapid intervention of the institutes craft were directly responsible for saving lives.

Careys early career was spent within the military, where as a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst he held a Commission within the British Army. Focusing on Amphibious Operations he qualified and specialized in Joint Operational Level Planning. He also successfully commanded his own squadron on operations in Iraq and has served in multiple capacities across various other operational theatres.
