We are now seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our Marketing team as Social Media Coordinator, based at our European Head Office in Romsey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage with our audience and promote our marina services to the boating community. You will be responsible for day-to-day content creation, posting and interaction across our social media channels e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc. ensuring consistent messaging and a strong online presence. You will need to build direct relationships with our marinas to build a library of images, videos and stories that will highlight the beauty of our marinas and the experiences of our customers. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on social media metrics such as reach, engagement and follower growth to measure performance and identify areas for improvement. In addition, you will have the opportunity to be involved in other areas of our marketing activities.

Qualifications/Experience:

To be successful you will need 1-2 years’ experience as a social media coordinator or similar role, experience gained within hospitality, tourism or marine industries would be advantageous but not essential. A strong knowledge of various social media platforms along with strong analytical skills, excellent writing and communication skills coupled with a creative mindset are essential. You will also need to be able to produce engaging written and visual content and be pro-active & confident working both independently and as part of a team. A degree level qualification in Business, Marketing or a related field is desirable.

About the POSITION:

Summary:

The Membership Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a world-class experience for high-end clientele. This role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing yacht club memberships, in line with Sindalah strategy. Planning, organizing and executing events and activities for the yacht club, marina and sailing school. You will be based in the yacht club and therefore, the first point of contact for the yacht club operational team (non F&B), assisting and resolving customer inquiries, managing, and maintaining client relationships, and coordinating with various internal departments to deliver personalized service and meet customer expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Membership: Plan, develop, execute, and manage the yacht club membership. Negotiate with the other on island operators to enhance membership packages to achieve KPI membership numbers.
  • Annual Membership – Maintain/update membership date base as well as develop and implement strategies to attract new members.
  • Affiliations with other worldwide iconic yacht Clubs: build relationships with iconic, complementing yachts clubs across the globe. Develop and implement affiliations with yacht clubs to enhance the Sindalah yacht club profile and appeal.
  • Events and Activities: Plan a yearly events and activity program calendar, in line with Sindalah Island strategy and other operator events, for Sindalah Marina and Yacht Club. Events to include sailing regattas, nautical events, shows, member parties, symposiums, industry events, etc.
  • Concierge Service: support the marina and yacht club concierge services, building relationships with on and off island operators (Hotels, F&B, Gold Club, Water Sports etc.) and logistics.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, providing product knowledge, and addressing customer concerns with utmost professionalism and empathy. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by going above and beyond to exceed expectations.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, VIP clients, and key stakeholders. Serve as their primary point of contact, understanding their preferences, anticipating their needs, and offering personalized solutions to enhance their overall experience. Assisting and coordinating with events and working closely with the marina team.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, concerns, or complaints in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide effective solutions, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s services, and offerings. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to provide informed recommendations and ensure an elevated customer experience.
  • Customer Retention: Implement strategies to foster customer loyalty and retention. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling by understanding customer preferences and suggesting relevant products or services that align with their needs and desires.
  • Escalation Management: Handle escalated customer issues, involving senior management or specialized departments when necessary. Maintain composure in high-pressure situations and act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve complex issues promptly.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance customer service processes, workflows, and systems to streamline operations and maximize efficiency. Provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on customer feedback and industry best practices.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Exemplify the brand’s luxury values and image, embodying professionalism, elegance, and sophistication in all customer interactions. Represent the company at luxury events, engage in networking opportunities, and contribute to the brand’s reputation.
  • Other reasonable duties and tasks as directed by the Yacht Club Manager

Qualifications:

  • A can-do attitude with the ability to work on own initiative and work as part of team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in Event Management, Marketing or Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in luxury customer service or high-end hospitality roles managing memberships and organizing events.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with affluent customers effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations with poise and professionalism.

Summary:

As an IGY Sailing Manager, you will be at the helm of managing the day-to-day operations of the sailing school, ensuring efficiency and excellence in all aspects. Your role will involve coordinating skippers, managing resources, and maintaining high service standards. Beyond operational management, you will support the overall luxury experience of Sindalah Island by overseeing corporate and team-building events, training camps, and other sailing-related activities. When not managing operations, you will assist the marina team with various tasks to ensure smooth and seamless service.   • Manage the daily operations of the sailing school, including scheduling classes and skippers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management of a sailing school.
  • Commercial skipper, or a yachting qualification, proven experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • A recognized sailing instructor qualification (RYA, ASA, etc)
  • A minimum of 2 seasons experience teaching on keelboats, yachts such as J70’s
  • Experience of high-performance foiling sailing yachts such as Swan 36 or equivalent, desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid certifications from recognized sailing organizations (e.g., RYA, ASA).
  • Strong knowledge of sailing techniques and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with students of all ages and skill levels.
  • First Aid certification preferred but not essential.
  • Power boat qualification (RYA, ASA, AS, or other equivalents)
  • VHF Operator’s certificate (preferred, but not essential)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Passion for sailing with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Ability to swim and perform physical tasks related to sailing.

Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions. The role requires working near water and on boats, with occasional exposure to mechanical parts. Proper personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn as required.

Summary:

Responsible for the overall management of the marina to ensure safe, secure, efficient and profitable operations while enforcing the company’s policies and procedures established at the property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • To represent IGY in all matters relating to the business relationships required to successfully operate the property and do so in a professional and responsible manner.
  • Maintains continual communication with customers, vessels, the marina office, and other departments to ensure timely and efficient daily operations, dock arrivals, dock departures, including daily radio contact as well as sharing information toward slip usage planning.
  • Routinely greets all arrivals and anticipates customer needs and providing such within marina’s ability to perform; assists guest services by promoting timely departure with vessel; advises guest services of any changes or requests from vessel.
  • Promotes services, amenities, and local available interests to marina guests to enhance their experience.
  • Manages all guest financial transactions (including the receipt of deposits), verifies credit status and issues with charge cards-where applicable, computes final bills and collects appropriate payments.
  • Ensures that all staff members are always properly dressed in uniform, groomed, and presentable while on duty.
  • Coordinates the ordering and purchasing of necessary supplies and materials for the marina team.  Keeps records of all transaction receipts and purchase orders.
  • Attends various trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and other related industry events to help promote the facility in accordance with specific business and marketing agendas.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of all marina staff regarding marina and facility guests.
  • Meets established quality standards for all marina related operations; ensures that recognized standards are maintained, and that quality and delivery commitments are met.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive operating plans for marina and provisioning operations including all program requirements, labor hours, cost controls and operating costs.
  • Achieves marina-operating budget; ensures effective control of operating results and takes corrective action to guarantee the achievement of marina operating objectives.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimal costs and to prevent operational delays.
  • Coordinates marina operations to obtain optimum occupancy and revenues.
  • Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in capital projects, equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Oversees and directs security personnel and ensures that the facility is secure 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
  • Requisitions supplies and equipment within budgetary restraints.
  • Answers guests’ complaints and resolves problems.
  • Ensures staff is scheduled efficiently and according to operational workload within budgetary restraints.
  • Liaise with third parties such as upland tenants, government agencies, and vendors.
  • Ensures that staff, guests, and contractors enjoy a safe environment with no inherent hazards.
  • Assists overseeing the facility’s marketing campaign and associated decisions.  Coordinated with the IGY Marketing team on revenue producing events for the marina properties.
  • Supports the completion of all necessary facility and IGY related reports to include but not limited to, Anchor Club Points Tracker, Weekly Sales Pace Reports, Key Metric Reports, Revenue Sales Tracker, Dockage Log, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages subordinate employees as required. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
