ERIC SIMONTONEXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF REAL ESTATE & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Eric Simonton joined IGY Marinas in 2006 and has risen through the ranks to his current position as Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Business Development. Simonton manages and leads the company’s diverse real estate portfolio and initiatives, and serves in an advisory role to IGY Marinas’ third-party clients. In addition, Simonton leads the company’s efforts to source and execute property acquisitions and strategic branding and management opportunities.
Prior to joining IGY Marinas, Simonton served as Project Manager with The Related Group, managing several hundred million dollars of luxury condominium development in South Florida. Simonton began his career as an officer in the United States Navy Civil Engineer Corps, where he managed construction projects on military installations in San Diego, CA, and also served with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, stationed in Gulfport, MS. Simonton holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University (cum laude) and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
