London Fashion Week takes place twice a year in February, June and September, showcasing over 250 designers to a global audience of influential media and retailers. It is estimated that orders of over £100m are placed during LFW each season.

RBS Six Nations Rugby
The February-March Six Nations Championship is contested once each season by the international sides of France, England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. Each team plays the other five once per season with home advantage in alternate seasons, giving a total of 15 matches per Championship.

The Boat Race
The Boat Race is an annual contest between rowing crews from Oxford and Cambridge Universities that takes place close to Easter each year on the River Thames in south west London between Putney and Mortlake. The first Men’s Boat Race took place in 1829 in Henley on Thames following a challenge between old school friends. Since the second Race in 1836 the contest has taken place in London. The first Women’s Boat Race took place in 1927 and moved to the Championship Course in 2015.

Wimbledon Tennis Championships
One of the most famous tennis tournaments in the world, the July Wimbledon Championships have been played since the 1870s. The championships start at the end of June, and last approximately two weeks, or until all events are complete. St Katharine Docks will be screening the famous tennis tournament on its events pontoon.

Lord Mayor’s Show
This London event dates back to the early 13th century, when a desperate King John allowed the City of London to appoint its own Mayor. The King insisted that each newly-elected Mayor should come to Westminster and swear loyalty to the Crown, and the Mayor of London has been making that journey for over 800 years.
