October, 2023 – Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Bert Fowles, IGY’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales was recently elected Chairman of the United States Superyacht Association (USSA) Board of Directors.
Mr. Fowles was announced and welcomed as Chairman at the USSA Annual Meeting and Luncheon at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 27. He has served as Vice Chairman for the last 2 years, previously serving as Marketing Chairman and supporting the organization to become a leader in the superyacht market.
The USSA is the only non-profit trade association in the United States that represents the hundreds of businesses and thousands of individuals worldwide whose mission it is “To promote the U.S. superyacht industry and its members worldwide through advocacy, education, marketing, and events.”. The association champions interests that support the multibillion-dollar global superyacht industry aligning legislative, marketing, and economic impact initiatives towards consistent industry growth.
Fowles takes over for Diane Byrne, who served as Chairwoman of the USSA for the last two years. His expertise shines in his ability to compile, analyze and present global superyacht data for the USSA, and he will continue to work closely alongside members to hone decision making reflective of current industry trends.
